Companions Interpretation of the Holy Quran
Abstract
The researcher examines in this research the role of the Companions, may God be pleased with them in the interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, indicating the opinion of scholars on the interpretation of the Companions whether it is from the raised or from the arrested. Examples from their interpretations of the Holy Qur’an, as the researcher warns that the Companions, may God be pleased with them, were unequal in their interpretative abilities And they were not in one position for the reasons mentioned by the researcher, and the researcher discusses the extent of the companions ’dependence on the people of the book in their interpretation of the Qur’an, and it is likely that he has evidence that the people of the book were not a source for them, but that the companions were alienated from taking from the people of the book and relying on them, and finally the researcher mentioned Some advantages of interpretation at this point. The researcher divided his research into two chapters. It dealt with in the first chapter: The scholars ’opinions on the Companions’ say regarding the interpretation The most important sources on which the companions relied on their interpretation. In the second chapter, he discussed the different companions, may God be pleased with them, in understanding the meanings of the Holy Qur’an, and mentioned some examples of their interpretation, as mentioned by the most prominent commentators among them, then discussed the narration of the Companions and their dependence on the People of the Book in the interpretation, and finally the features of interpretation in the era of the Companions.
The researcher has relied on his research on the investigative approach in examining the texts that talk about the companions ’interpretation of the Holy Qur’an. He also relied on the analytical approach to analyze those texts and explain the statements of scholars therein and discuss them.
