الملخص
يتناول البحث الملكة كاثرين اراغون ودورها في الصراع ما بين انكلترا والبابوية والاسباب التي ادت الى انفصال الكنيسة الانكليزية عن الكنيسة الام في روما والنتائج المترتبة على ذلك الانفصال , عن طريق اعطاء نبذه مختصرة عن حياة الملكة كاثرين وزواجها من الامير آرثر ثم الملك هنري الثامن , وقضية طلاقها واهم الاسباب التي ادت الى ذلك , وموقف البرلمان والشعب الانكليزي من قضية الطلاق والانفصال , فضلا عن الموقف الخارجي المتمثل بالبابا والملك شارل الخامس وتدخلهما في شؤون انكلترا , والتطرق كذلك الى الاعلان عن انفصال الكنيسة الانكليزية واهم الاجراءات التي رافقت ذلك.
